Prominent Figures Attend Sahil Welfare Sehri in Karachi

  KARACHI: A prestigious Sehri night was organized by Sahil Welfare Association, bringing together prominent personalities from various sectors to support social welfare initiatives.

The event was hosted by Vice Admiral Faisal Amin, Commander Coast and Chairman of Sahil Welfare Association, and was held at the residence of Danish Aman.

In his address, Vice Admiral Faisal Amin thanked former officers of the Pakistan Navy, including Vice Admiral Imran and Vice Admiral (R) Shahid, as well as the Chairman of Karachi Port Trust and members of the Karachi business community for their continued support of Sahil Welfare’s mission over the past two decades.

He noted that the organization focuses on three key areas: provision of clean drinking water, basic education, and healthcare, ensuring that donations reach deserving beneficiaries with support and oversight from the Pakistan Navy.

Before Sehri, a fundraising drive was organized in which a significant amount of donations was pledged to support ongoing welfare projects for underprivileged communities along Pakistan’s coastal belt.

The gathering was attended by notable figures from the entertainment industry, media, politics, and bureaucracy, including legendary squash player Jahangir Khan, alongside singers, comedians, and actors, adding prominence to the occasion.

Vice Admiral Faisal Amin also highlighted several major initiatives undertaken over the past year, including the revival of a hospital in Gwadar, establishment of an inclusive learning center for special children in Hero, creation of a revolving fund for the fishing community, and development of an IT hub in collaboration with Saylani Welfare International Trust.

The event arrangements were supervised by Danish Aman, Commodore Shahid Irshad, and Lieutenant Hasnain Saqib. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting social welfare initiatives in the future.

The evening concluded with hosts expressing gratitude to attendees, while philanthropists and organization's pledged continued financial and moral support for upcoming projects.
