Karachi: Tooba Welfare Trust organized a grand Roza Kushai ceremony for children at a local hall in Karachi, bringing together community members, social figures, and families to celebrate the spiritual milestone during the holy month of Ramadan.
The ceremony was presided over by Advocate Syed Naseem Shah, who appreciated the efforts of the trust’s Chairperson Suraya Naz for organizing the event and encouraging children to observe their first fast.

The gathering featured soulful recitations of Naat in praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ by renowned Naat Khawans Ahmed Hassan Naqshbandi and Imran Anwar Qadri, which created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shahana Zaidi said that organizing Roza Kushai ceremonies is a positive step that motivates children and strengthens their connection with Islamic traditions. Mahrukh Zuberi also shared details about the welfare activities and initiatives of Tooba Welfare Trust.
The event was attended by a large number of prominent personalities from Karachi, including Amjad Rana, Faiza Shah, Shahida Kidwai, Masooda Ashraf, Raja Arif, Farzana Zaidi, Parveen Mughal, Abdul Hafeez Soomro, Rubina Naz, Shamsa Mah Jabeen and Rana Parveen.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Rukhsana Zaidi thanked the guests and said that despite limited resources, Chairperson Suraya Naz, General Secretary Saeed Ahmed Saeedi, and the administration of Tooba Welfare Trust organize this blessed Ramadan gathering every year to spread joy among children and earn prayers for the community.
Cash prizes and gifts were distributed among the children, and the ceremony concluded with special prayers for the unity, peace, and security of Pakistan and the Muslim world.
