Karachi: Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre hosted a special Iftar dinner in Karachi during the holy month of Ramadan, bringing together supporters, donors, celebrities, and members of the community to support cancer patients.
The event was hosted by Pakistani actor, writer, and comedian Adeel Hashmi. Renowned Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and popular actress Yumna Zaidi also addressed the audience, highlighting the importance of charity and collective efforts in supporting patients fighting cancer.
During the event, speakers encouraged people to donate their Zakat to Shaukat Khanum Hospitals so that children, young adults, and other patients can continue receiving quality cancer treatment regardless of their ability to pay.
The gathering provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on the spirit of compassion and generosity during Ramadan while reaffirming their support for the hospital’s humanitarian mission.
Guests appreciated the remarkable work of Shaukat Khanum in providing free or subsidized treatment to thousands of patients across Pakistan and emphasized the importance of community support to sustain these life-saving services.
The event concluded with Iftar in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, with attendees pledging continued support for the noble cause of helping cancer patients defeat the disease.
