Sindh Police Continues Anti-Drug Campaign in District City

 KARACHI: On the directives of SSP City Syed Ali Hassan, a crackdown against drug addicts is underway across the city district, as part of ongoing efforts to curb the menace of narcotics.


According to details, an operation was carried out in the Garden and Nabi Bakhsh areas under the supervision of DSP UT Yash Raj Nagdev, during which 25 drug addicts were taken into custody and shifted to a rehabilitation facility.

Police officials stated that a total of 138 individuals have so far been detained and transferred to the Sunshine Rehabilitation Center, where they will undergo treatment and rehabilitation for a period of four months.

Under the rehabilitation program, the individuals are being provided medical care along with spiritual guidance, including prayers, recitation of the Holy Quran, and other religious teachings aimed at helping them return to a healthy and productive life.

SSP City Syed Ali Hassan said that drugs are a serious social evil and emphasized that strict measures are being taken to eliminate this menace. He expressed confidence that, with continued efforts, the situation will soon come under control.
