Women Artists Shine at ‘Feminists Charisma VI’ Exhibition in Karachi

 Karachi: An art exhibition titled “Feminists Charisma VI by Talented Women Artists” was held at a local gallery, celebrating the creativity and artistic contributions of women from across the city.

The exhibition was inaugurated by President Arts Council, Mohammad Ahmed Shah, who подчеркed the significance of art as a powerful medium that reflects every dimension of society. He noted that global realities are often expressed through diverse artistic styles and colors, adding that women artists tend to exhibit a particularly strong aesthetic sense.

He appreciated the innovative ideas displayed in the exhibition and congratulated the participating artists for their impressive work. He also expressed confidence that art collectors and enthusiasts would take keen interest in the exhibition, while praising the gallery for providing opportunities to both established and emerging artists.

The exhibition, hosted at Art Citi Gallery, featured around 60 artworks created by 25 women artists. The display paid tribute to female creativity, showcasing themes such as feminine beauty, identity, and natural landscapes.

Renowned artist Samina Mumtaz curated the exhibition, bringing together a diverse group of artists under one platform.

Among the distinguished attendees were Member Sindh Assembly Mohammad Qasim Soomro, along with prominent figures including Tanveer Farooqi and Jimmy Engineer, as well as a large number of art enthusiasts.

Speaking at the event, Mohammad Qasim Soomro emphasized the vital role of youth in nation-building, stating that young individuals are a valuable asset and can bring about positive change through proper guidance and training. He highlighted the importance of such platforms in providing learning opportunities, practical exposure, and avenues for showcasing talent.

The exhibition featured works by a wide range of artists, including Afsheen Waqas, Aniqa Fatima, Annal Haque, Arusha Javed, Asma Baig, Azra Wahab, Fasiha Farooq, Fauzia Khan, Hajra Mansoor, Hafsa Sheikh, Laiba Maqsood, Naureen Usmani, Nida Fatima, Noshina Rind, Rahab Naqvi, Razia Sahar, Sadia Arif, Sahar Atta, Saher Shah Rizvi, Saima Aamir, Samina Mumtaz, Shaima Umar, Shaista Momin, Sidra Sattar, Sohaina Elia, Sunbal Sajid, Syeda Nadia Raza, Sabeen Rashid, and Zainab Taj.

The event served as a vibrant platform celebrating artistic expression while highlighting the growing contribution of women in the cultural landscape of Pakistan.
