Governor Stresses Women’s Education During Meeting at Governor House

 Karachi: Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi emphasized that providing equal educational opportunities to girls is the need of the hour, stating that educated women play a vital role in the country’s economic and social development.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Chancellor Wajiuddin at the Governor House Karachi>. The meeting was also attended by the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and faculty members of Jinnah University for Women.

During the meeting, the Chancellor informed the Governor that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had permitted Dr Riazuddin to establish an educational institution in his name, highlighting the historical significance of the university.

He further noted that Jinnah University for Women is among the pioneering institutions in Pakistan providing women with modern and technological education across various disciplines.

Underscoring the importance of women’s education, the Governor stated that empowering women is essential for the progress and prosperity of society. He added that the government is taking practical steps to improve access to quality education for women and to create more opportunities for their advancement.
