Sindh Governor Inaugurates Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 at Expo Center Karachi

 Karachi: Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi inaugurated the Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 at the Expo Center Karachi, emphasizing the immense potential of Pakistan’s tourism sector.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Governor said that Pakistan holds a prominent place on the global tourism map due to its rich culture, majestic mountains, vast deserts, scenic coastlines, and the hospitality of its people. He noted that promoting tourism would not only enhance trade activities but also contribute significantly to stabilizing the national economy.

Highlighting ongoing development efforts, he stated that Pakistan’s progress reflects the nation’s determination and continues under the leadership of the Prime Minister. He added that despite challenging circumstances, Pakistan is sending a positive message to the world that it remains open for business and tourism.

Earlier, the Governor formally inaugurated the exhibition by pressing the button, followed by a visit to various stalls where he interacted with exhibitors and participants.

Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi stressed the importance of promoting both trade and tourism globally. He said that the government is taking practical steps to put the country on the path of sustainable development and to improve the lives of its citizens.

He extended an invitation to the international community to visit Pakistan, invest in its tourism sector, and consider it a second home. The Governor also appreciated the organizers of PTM 2026, along with the business community and the hotel industry, stating that the exhibition would play a vital role in boosting tourism in the country.

Reaffirming his confidence in the nation’s resilience, he remarked that no conflict can hinder Pakistan’s development, as the people remain deeply committed to the progress and prosperity of their homeland.
